Karen Dunn
Karen Dunn is a finance professional and mental health advocate. She worked more than thirty years in banking and finance across various capacities. These included commercial banking, investment research, venture banking and municipal finance. In these roles Ms. Dunn developed a depth of experience with financial modeling and budgeting and honed her skills at both the operational and strategic level. She holds a BS in biology from the University of Miami and an MBA from Boston University. For the past ten years Ms. Dunn has sought to use her skills to give back to her community and to find ways to support improved mental health outcomes. As a beneficiary of psychedelic medicine, she draws on firsthand experience of their potential.
Ms. Dunn hopes to combine her financial expertise and psychedelic medicine experience to support the APPA in its mission, ensuring that these treatments are safe, effective, and available to all who can benefit from them. In particular, she brings a client voice to be integrated into the foundational policies and organizations taking shape in this field.
